SUMitUP Budget website, referred to as Site, provides an online budget program for users to keep track of their finances in calendar or list form. Through the Site, users have the ability to view their budget from any internet connection via personal computer or mobile device.

Protecting your privacy is important to us; the information contained herein strives to help you understand how much personal information is/is not collected on our website, the Site at www.mysumitup.com and how it is used.  At SUMitUP we recognize your right to confidentiality and we are committed to protecting your privacy.

Personal Financial Data
SUMitUP does not collect any personal financial data from our subscribers.  SUMitUP does not request any information about subscribers’ personal bank information.  All Subscription payment transactions are managed by PayPal.  

Use of the Site does not require any personal bank information, account numbers, or credit card information.   Users are solely responsible for all information that is input by the User to their personal SUMitUP Budget.  

Automatic Information Collection
Personal information about you is not collected automatically when you navigate our Site.   On all of the pages of our Site, we do log the IP address of your computer to enable statistical tracking of our Site usage.  This does not disclose any of your information.  SUMitUP is the sole owner of the information collected on SUMitUP.

Subscription
To use our Site, we request certain statistical and personally identifiable information from you on the subscription form and require you to enter your email and a password.  During this process, you are required to give contact information, such as username and email address.  We use this information to contact you about the services on our Site in which you have expressed interest.  You may opt in to receive information on updates to our Site to the email address provided.  The email you provide is the main point of validation when any updates are needed on your subscription such as forgetting your password or inquiring about other information related to your subscription.   

Customer Service
We will communicate with you by email in response to your inquiries, to provide the services you request, and to manage your subscription. 

Email addresses
SUMitUP does not sell, purchase, or rent bulk email lists.  SUMitUP does not share, sell, trade, rent, or disseminate your email address to others.  We know that the members of our e-mail list are very sensitive to receiving spam, or unsolicited email; hence we are very careful about what we send out and to whom.  We ask for your e-mail address so that we may contact you to inform you of updates, special offers, or other software that we think would be of interest to you. When you participate in a contest, promotion, or survey, we may ask for your name, address, e-mail address or other information. 
You may have yourself removed from our mailing list(s) at any time by informing us via email or standard mail.  You can find our mailing address on our Contact Info web page.

Service Related Announcements
We will send you strictly service-related announcements on rare occasions when it is necessary to do so.  For instance, if our service is temporarily suspended for maintenance, we might send you an email.  Generally, you may not opt-out of these communications, which are not promotional in nature. 

Software Activity Logging
Our software may log user activity used in finding and fixing bugs.  Any activity log data that is sent to us will be held in the strictest confidence and will not be given in any form to any other company or individual.  Log-in information may be used to diagnose and confirm correction of problems in our software.

Change in Privacy Policy
The SUMitUP privacy policy is subject to change at any time.  We will provide notice 30 days prior to implementing any major changes to our privacy policy.  If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes to the home page of our Site, and to other places we deem appropriate so that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it.  We reserve the right to modify our Privacy Policy at any time, so please review it frequently.  If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you here, by email, or by means of a notice on our home page.  Our Site may contain links to other web sites and is not responsible for privacy practices or content of those web sites.  We encourage subscribers to learn about the privacy practices of those web sites.

SUMitUP is not responsible for sites linked to our Site.  The links do not indicate approval or endorsement of any material on any linked site.  Your connection to any linked site is made at your own risk.

Warranties
There is no warranty that any third party information or service provided or referenced by our Site is either merchantable or accurate, that such information or service will fulfill any of your particular purposes or needs, or that such information or service does not infringe on any third party rights.  Unless otherwise expressly noted on our Site, all information, products, or services provided or referenced on our Site are provided “as is” and with all faults and the entire risk as to satisfactory quality, performance, or accuracy.

Security
All data is stored securely encrypted in a private data source at a secure location.  SUMitUP takes industry standard precautions to protect your data.

User Data
SUMitUP does not and shall not share, sell, rent, trade, or disseminate your information with third parties for their promotional purposes.  SUMitUP may share with third parties or publicly disclose compiled aggregated data containing no personally identifiable information including statistical information.

Not Responsible for Loss of Data
SUMitUP will use commercially reasonable efforts to preserve all data provided, but SUMitUP will not be responsible for lost or purged data.  You are responsible for archiving your own data and backing it up on a regular basis.  All data will be stored encrypted and will not be disclosed to anyone unless required by law.  SUMitUP will do everything within reason to keep information confidential.  Under no circumstances will SUMitUP be responsible for the expense of lost data or consequential damages, whether foreseeable damages or not, due to data loss. 

Agents / Service Providers
We use PayPal as a credit card processing company to process payments for Subscriptions. A PayPal account is not required.  Please refer to www.PayPal.com for information on their services. 

Restricted Account Numbers
We take the security of financial data very seriously and believe the more places you store your credit account numbers, the higher security risk you run into.  This is why we prefer to be an organizer of your data, but not the key holder to your bank or financial institution.  No personally identifiable financial information is required to be submitted to the Site to use it.  Use of the Site does not require any personal bank information, account numbers, or credit card information.   Users are solely responsible for all information that is input by the User to their personal SUMitUP Budget.  

Accessing and changing personal information
If your subscriber information changes, please update your Profile on the SUMitUP Site.  You can access and change your subscriber information by visiting www.mySUMitUP.com.  Login with your SUMitUP subscription information, click on the “Settings” link and update your “Profile”. 

Third Party Cookies
The use of cookies by Google Analytics is not covered by our Privacy Policy.  We do not have access or control over these cookies.  Google Analytics may use session ID cookies to help provide insight into different areas of the Site our subscribers use most.  The use of cookies by any tracking utility company such as Google Analytics is not covered by our Privacy Policy. 

Legal Disclaimer
We reserve the right to disclose your personally identifiable information as required by law and when we believe that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights and/or comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process served on our Site.  SUMitUP will use commercially reasonable efforts to preserve all data provided, but SUMitUP will not be responsible for lost or purged data.  All data will be stored encrypted and will not be disclosed to anyone unless required by law.  SUMitUP will do everything within our power to keep information confidential.  If information is to be disclosed by law, we will attempt to notify you by email, before any information is released. 

Hold Harmless
Under no circumstances will SUMitUP be responsible for the expense of lost data or consequential damages, whether foreseeable damages or not, due to data loss.  You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless SUMitUP, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, consultants, and agents from any and all third party claims, liability, damages or costs (including but not limited to attorneys’ fees) arising from your use of our services, your violation of the Terms of Service, or your infringement of any intellectual property or other right of any other person or entity.  We recognize the sensitivity of the information you are submitting. 

Newsletters
If you wish to receive our newsletter(s), we will use your name and email address to send the newsletter to you. 

Tell a Friend
If you choose to use our referral service to tell a friend about our Site, we will ask you for your friend’s name and email address.  We will automatically send a one-time email inviting your friend to visit the Site.  SUMitUP does not store this information.
